Job responsibilities of an architectural engineer

The job responsibilities of an architectural engineer spans along the various stages of a project life cycle such as schematic design phase, design development phase, construction documentation phase, negotiation phase and the construction administration phase. There are specific job duties pertaining to each individual stage. The architectural engineers perform the following duties:

Schematic design phase

  • Analyze the whole project program of the owner.
  • Thoroughly document all the requirements of the owner and sending a copy for approval.

  • Develop a cost estimate of the project.

Design development phase
